2017 was quite a year – Jill and Phil had a quiet wedding and moved into their new Victorian house in Ladywell a week later, joined by Phil’s sister Phoebe who is over here at the moment. Lynn and Paul moved into their latest army house in Upavon on the edge of Salisbury Plain following Paul’s new posting to 1 Mercian. In October Phil’s parents, Heather & Greg, came over from Australia and at last we were able to meet them for a scrumptious lunch in Ladywell. We had had an early Christmas visit to Hamburg this year which was extended by two days because of British Airways. J & P joined us for one day before moving on to Madrid (where BA stranded them!). Our Christmas now follows a familiar pattern ... we have Q as a guest, J & P are in Australia, and L P & T are, frustratingly, still in Upavon. |
